Mies van der Rohe’s masterpiece Farnsworth House in Plano, IL, is owned and managed by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The sublime lines and proportions of van der Rohe’s design provided all the necessary elements and inspiration for the design of an identity system and assorted marketing materials.

The trademark / name construction reflects the design of the house and its sublime proportions (photo by Jon Miller, Hedrich Blessing).
This fold-out brochure mimics the exact proportion of the main house to its extended porch.
Bookmarks are one element in an overall merchandising strategy to help support the House; the logo is laser-die-cut, making it viewable from both sides.
A series of mini-cards offering information and discounts echo the color palette of the furniture and woodwork in the house.
